A simple trick: Stay at the peak of your Health


Intelligence: Body & mind are two important elements of the human engineering system. Both of them are equipped with their respective built in intelligences. In order to master the body and mind, it is important first to develop our listening capability to these two elements. The general rule is that we should listen to the body and the mind first. Then, over a period of time, the body & mind will start to listen to us. Also, the body & mind work on the principle of average of the sum effect. In other words, body & mind remember only what you do maximum to them on day today basis (or) simply those repeated daily actions.
Based on the above principles, it is clear that regularity plays a vital role in training the body & mind for your better wellness.

 Priority: We know that we need to set priority to do mind body practices on daily basis to gain the good health. Naturally, body & mind understand your intention once you perform the practices on regular basis. Body & mind will tune nicely to your intention to yield the right result.
Those who have done the practices as daily rituals hit the end result pleasantly. But, some of us do not get the required result. The main reason for them is the decline in the level of commitment from the initial days to the later days. Irregularity in practice is the reason for the failure.

Smart Trick: Here is this simple trick to put you in the good wellness roadmap.
Priority à Periodicity
The thumb rule is not to become lenient with your priority. Your non leniency to your priority makes you to perform your practices periodically. With periodicity, you are giving the opportunity to train the body & mind in a systematic way. This allows the body & mind attuned to your intention.
One can stay selfish in not compromising his priority under any given situations. So, work on your priority and convert the priority into periodicity. Periodicity means regularity & it equates to your discipline. Your discipline now helps in disciplining the body & mind.

Mumbai Marathon 2016– My experience

In the process of my own personal transformation, I have noticed my body physiological parameters such as respiration rate, heart rate, blood pressure etc. have continuously undergone changes. These physiological changes have influenced the psychic state of my mind. This on-going interplay of psychic as well as physiology keeps me vigilant and monitor the entire change process that is happening for good.
Test Platform: In due course of my life, I have created various test platforms to monitor these on-going physiological changes and put them under test. Participating marathons is one way to check my endurance level & it is a good test platform to check the respiratory & cardiovascular systems. I have started & moved into this running habit with the maiden participation of TCS 10K in 2014.  
Goal: It is good to set the goals in life. I also do that on periodic basis. Instead of aiming to achieve the set goals, I am always more inclined in enjoying the experiences while moving towards the goals. I have my own roadmap set for the marathon goals. My immediate target is to have a sub 2hours half marathon run which I yet to achieve. I need to cut 11 more minutes to reach that point.
Experience: I would like to share couple of experiences in the recent Mumbai run held on 17th January 2016.
Running Injuries:  I heard about the frequent injuries caused due to running from my running buddies. Fortunately, I never ever experience any such injuries due to long distance running. In my opinion, free movement of the body (muscular skeletal system) and the way how one connects with his own body& mind during running are two important elements that help in avoiding the potential injuries during running. In other words, the flexibility of the body as well as the ability to listen to the body are the key elements to overcome injuries.
 My regular practices of yogic exercises help in a greater extend in developing these two key skills that in turn avoid the injuries. I have not formally trained myself before any such running events but yet I could able to finish decently in the top first 35% bracket. Yoga is playing a very big role and for me, it is acting like a training ground for the running events.
Inspiration: Also, this time @ 6KM mark, I crossed a gentleman without realising that he was the TCS CEO N Chandrasekaran.After couple of minutes, I came to this realisation by overhearing the conversation by the fellow runners. Later on, at the finish line, I was told by a fellow runner that there were many more business leaders who participated in this event. The whole group of business leaders names include Anil Ambani, Gagan Banga,MD of Indiabulls, Sanjay reddy, GVK group, Sajjan Jindal of JSW and others. They are not simply the regular runners but real performers with pretty decent performance in the top first 10% bracket.

This is for sure an incredible display by the business leaders in showcasing the importance of wellness & health. Being in the wellness industry & with my close association and service to the corporates, they made my job easier by becoming great references for the potential business leaders who want to take up this path. At a personal level, on seeing their personal performances, I have decided to go for a formal training before the start of the next running event. Thank you leaders!!

A simple New Year Resolution but with maximum effect

Influence: Do you know who influences your life the most? If your answer is those great leaders who inspired you the most then you are only partially correct. Greater inspiration does not correlate always to your bigger influence. Of course, YES!!  It has its own influence but there is something much more at a subtler influence happening in the background of your life. It is so subtle that you don’t even realise that it is changing the way you lead the life. So, what is this “something”?
This is nothing but the group of people to whom you spend most of your time in life. They have the bigger influence on you and they change the course of your life. The influence happens in smaller doses but on daily basis. Any success or failure or powerful transformation that you witness in life is not a sudden shift. It is a gradual process where things are added up in small doses on regular basis to generate such a dramatic transformation in you. Many of the readers have seen personally my own transformation & success story. But, this transformation is no exception but built on the average of sum of those small doses.
So, your friend’s network is also such a powerful medium which add up small doses on a daily basis to push you up to the success pattern or pull you down to the failure zone.

Simple check: If you don’t believe in the above point then it is time for you to test yourself to see this in your own life. Just check present status of your life, right now. Ask some simple questions: What is that I do mostly on day today basis? What are those repeated activities that I perform on daily basis? Where I spent most of my time in a day? Whatever I do in my life, do they really mean lot to me? Am I happy/not happy? Am I successful/not successful in life? Am I enjoying the life? Am I productive or simply wasting the time of my life?
Just record your answers for the above questions. Now, compare those with your friend network and check the similarity in the answers. You will be amazed to see at least 70 to 80% match in the answers.
Do you remember the quote,” You are simply an average of your close friends”. This is rightfully true!!
Resolution: Practically, my simple definition of spiritual growth is nothing but to see myself growing in every dimensions of my life such as the way how I develop my skill, the way how I built up my wealth & health, the way how I built up my relationships with people etc. If I do self-comparison of my present state of my life to that of my life, say three months before & if I see considerable progress in a positive way then I am moving in the spiritual path. Because I see clearly that I evolve on day today basis & spiritual development is nothing but understanding the power of our inbuilt evolutionary energy.
So, make a New Year resolution to put yourself in a positive evolutionary path for this year. The simplest technique is to scrutinise the people around you. It is important to handpick at least five of the highly evolved people & make a conscious choice to dwell with them most of your time. If you don’t have these sets of evolved people in your network then look out for them elsewhere. In the worst case scenario, you can have them in the virtual world like social media, YouTube etc. or read their books, their blogs etc. Over a period of time magically those people or similar category of people will appear in your life. This is guaranteed!! It is my promise to you based on my personal experience.

I did have this similar resolution two years before & if you see the people in my life now, they are completely a different set of new people then what I used to have earlier. They help me to evolve & giving a clear meaning & purpose to my life.

Relationship management – Parenting


In this blog, I would like to highlight some of the key points that I use in my personal life to keep the family relationship simple & sweet. Not knowing these tricks, we may unknowingly force ourselves in overcomplicating the relationship while that supposed to be simple. This small mind shift gives an opportunity to unwind the complicated relationship and make it simple. Life is really that simple. Complicated life is a creation of our ignorance in not understanding some finer details of life.
Gift: Any relationship is simply a gift given to us to enhance and enjoy the life. It is not our possession .So, try not to OWN it. Many of us try to own the relationship especially when it comes to their children. They think their children are their assets. Hence, they own it and try to take care &maintain. Every creature out there in this planet is the creation of this universe & it is simply that the children have come through us. We have not created them. Universe has created them & offer to us as a gift which we can enjoy for certain phase of the life. Family problems come only when one tries to possess and own the relationship. So, the first thumb rule is to simply accept all the family relationships as gifts and enjoy those without owning.

Evolution: It is quite natural for an animal like a cat that tries to explore its territory. We can’t contain our pet cat within the four walls of our own house. When a cat has the curiosity to explore, imagine a human creature with his vast infinity power for development can’t be contained. When one doesn’t consider their offspring as their asset, they will provide every opportunity for their children to explore without corrupting children minds with their own ideas. On the other hand, when one dumps his ideas into the head of the child, he is not only spoiling the child with his own ideas but also arresting the natural evolution of the child. He thinks that he is helping his child but the effect on the child is completely polarity opposite. So, second thumb rule is to allow the child to grow by his own evolutionary energy.
Expectation: Since, one possesses so much to the relationship; he naturally expects something out of that relationship. In case of parenting, the biggest move is to bulldoze the parent dream through their children. For example, a parent who aspired to become a doctor, if he did not get through the goal in his life time then there could be a possibility for him to unconsciously forcing this goal to his son/daughter. This is the biggest mistake done by the parent and greatest injustice to the children.  So, the third thumb rule is not to impose your goal to the child.

Life and family relationship become lot sweeter and simple by drawing and adapting these three simple rules.
