Healthy Eating: A different approach

Value:  You are what you eat. This is absolutely true without any argument. Also, I would like to given another dimension to the method of eating. You are HOW you eat. This is also equally significant. The way how you eat the food and how one values the food are also critical in developing healthy lifestyle.
Our attention to what goes inside our mouth is highly critical. Many times, our attention is somewhere else and not on the food that goes in. Since, eating is a habitual process; we eat without having our consciousness on the food. At the dining table, we have all sets of distractions such as reading newspaper, watching TV & chatting with friends, attending calls etc. With all these distractions, our awareness of food goes in the background.
It is not only that we don’t feel, taste & enjoy the food but diminish the value that we give to the food with the distractions. In general, if we don’t value a system/process then the value from the very system/process will not come to us. This is a universal law & it also applies to the value that assign to the food that you eat.
If you devalue the food then the energy that you get from the food gets devalued.

Body: Body is subjected to change. We can build a healthy body with proper nourishment. For this, let us understand the basic principle of the body that is in making. Body is a form of earth element. We accumulate the body from the earth elements in the form of food. Depending on this accumulation, we can easily weigh few kilos more or few kilos. Ultimately, this body in making goes back to its origin, i.e. earth after death. So, remember that the food that we eat comes from the earth element and that we call it as body.
Natural food: We process the food in many different ways before we consume. We get higher nourishment of the food when the food is more natural. If we add chemicals, preservatives then we make the food devoid of its natural elements. So, keep the processing to the minimum & give due respect to the nature.
As a thumb rule, the amount of heat that we use for cooking converts the food into another form that is distant away from its original content. We do this processing for enhancing taste & easy digestion. Instead, I suggest you to increase your digestive power to consume the type of food that is more close to the earth element. In other words, heighten your digestive power in proportion to the amount of heat energy that you spent in the cooking. This can be achieved by enhancing the fire element inside you which in yogic term is called as Agni.
With increase in your Agni power, you will get the ability to digest even stronger food and hence, get the ability to consume raw food. For example, Agni Sara Kriya is one such technique that improves the digestive juice that optimises the digestive system.
Summary: How you eat is more important than what you eat. The food that we eat comes from the earth element & we accumulate that in the form as the body. Respect the nature by striking a healthy balanced eating habit.

“Heighten your digestive fire in exact proportion to that of the fire used for the cooking.  "

Real Good Morning

Getting up early in the morning!! It is a harsh call for majority of us. I was part of this tribe few years before. Then, my modest reason for not getting up early in the morning was I had gone to bed very late in the night previous day. I was busy for the whole day and hence, I spent more time late night completing my task. But, in spite of such busy schedule day in and day out, still my end result was not as I expected. Also, I did not know the value of this powerful empowering habit of early rising. I am sure the above reasons resonate in your day today life too!
Now, after years of developing this habit, I knew exactly why I was busy the whole day. The reason being I was not having the focussed sharp mind to see the clarity of the tasks that I was trying to execute. Because of this ambiguity, I ended up spending more time and sub optimal in my performance. I do not want to describe in detail the emotional commotion associated with the execution & the subsequent effect of my sleep pattern.
Solution: If you are in similar situation (as how I was few years before) then here is the solution. Solution is simple!! Getup early in the morning. This is one of the secret habits of the successful people such as Obama, Modi, Sachin and many others.

Distraction: We live in the information age. We are bombarded with billions of information from many different sources during the day. Most of the information acts as distraction and causing to stay unfocussed. The finest time to avoid distraction is the early morning time. Majority of people are still in the bed in sound sleep. So, you are already out from the man made noises such as the shout of your neighbour, honking of the car etc. Early morning sets the ambience that has minimum distraction than the rest of the daytime.
Universe influence: The universal energy has its own influence on you during the period of 4-6am in the morning. If you go for an early morning walking at 4AM then you will appreciate the effect of the cosmic energy that influences you. It is pure source of energy that keeps you centred the rest of the day.
ME time: You need to self-introspect yourself to see the journey & direction of your life. Every day, one needs to revive his own situation in certain predefined period of the day as his ME time. Morning time is an ideal ME time.
This simple habit, if it is inculcated in your daily life then you will see the change in the pattern of your own perception of yourself & the world around you.
Summary: The universal energy is at its peak in the earlier phase (4- 6AM) of the morning. You become part of this energy during this time. Develop a habit of getting up early in the morning without any external support to build the right kind of energy to start a day fresh. To create this habit, one may use the aided means such as setting up the alarm to get up at early. Once your biorhythm is set, you will get up automatically without any support.

“As an unaided early morning raiser, you setup a platform that stages the universal cosmic dance”

Going beyond our limits

Perception: Our experiences to an event vary from person to person because of the difference in the perceptions of the individuals. Event may be the same but experience to the event is different because of our own perception. Perception is a mental interpretation to the experiences that we gather through our senses.
Database: why individual perception is different & unique? The simple answer is that the life experiences of each individual are different. Siblings with the same “bring up” do not have the same life experiences. So, the perception and the so called the mental interpretation come from the already stored database which is nothing but the life experience of the individuals from birth until now.
If one realise the value of the above theory then two wonders will happen to him that may potentially change the way he leads his life.

Valuing others: No two individuals are alike because the way how they perceive is different. This realisation helps in understanding others in a better way & build good relationships. When I know that I perceive an event very different than my wife, I naturally value the way how she perceives the same event in a different way. This helps in husband wife relationship. This works well with everyone around you in building  better relationships as long as you have a conscious awareness of this truth.
New Learning: The good news that the database upon which our perception operates on is not a fixed entity. It can be upgraded. The conscious awareness of this truth helps in undoing those already stored database with new ones in the form of new learning. As grownup adults, we have now the conscious choice of upgrading the database that has moral values. When the database is filled up with good value systems that follow the universal law, the distortion to your perception will be minimized.
This now provides the reason for the existence of the good books of Bhagavat Gita, Bible etc.
Summary:

"WE FUNCTION ONLY WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE DATABASE CONSTRUCTED BY OUR COLLECTIVE LIFE EXPERIENCES UNTIL THIS MOMENT."

We can’t function beyond what is being stored as experiences in our database. The database is nothing but a collection of life experiences from birth until this moment. Here is my simple strategy: To expand the life, update the database with good values.

Relationship management – Parenting

In this blog, I would like to highlight some of the key points that I use in my personal life to keep the family relationship simple & sweet. Not knowing these tricks, we may unknowingly force ourselves in overcomplicating the relationship while that supposed to be simple. This small mind shift gives an opportunity to unwind the complicated relationship and make it simple. Life is really that simple. Complicated life is a creation of our ignorance in not understanding some finer details of life.
Gift: Any relationship is simply a gift given to us to enhance and enjoy the life. It is not our possession .So, try not to OWN it. Many of us try to own the relationship especially when it comes to their children. They think their children are their assets. Hence, they own it and try to take care &maintain. Every creature out there in this planet is the creation of this universe & it is simply that the children have come through us. We have not created them. Universe has created them & offer to us as a gift which we can enjoy for certain phase of the life. Family problems come only when one tries to possess and own the relationship. So, the first thumb rule is to simply accept all the family relationships as gifts and enjoy those without owning.

Evolution: It is quite natural for an animal like a cat that tries to explore its territory. We can’t contain our pet cat within the four walls of our own house. When a cat has the curiosity to explore, imagine a human creature with his vast infinity power for development can’t be contained. When one doesn’t consider their offspring as their asset, they will provide every opportunity for their children to explore without corrupting children minds with their own ideas. On the other hand, when one dumps his ideas into the head of the child, he is not only spoiling the child with his own ideas but also arresting the natural evolution of the child. He thinks that he is helping his child but the effect on the child is completely polarity opposite. So, second thumb rule is to allow the child to grow by his own evolutionary energy.
Expectation: Since, one possesses so much to the relationship; he naturally expects something out of that relationship. In case of parenting, the biggest move is to bulldoze the parent dream through their children. For example, a parent who aspired to become a doctor, if he did not get through the goal in his life time then there could be a possibility for him to unconsciously forcing this goal to his son/daughter. This is the biggest mistake done by the parent and greatest injustice to the children.  So, the third thumb rule is not to impose your goal to the child.

Life and family relationship become lot sweeter and simple by drawing and adapting these three simple rules.

External Needs vs Internal Power

Our needs are motivated and driven by the external world around us. Our needs and wants are limitless. For example, travel to Antarctic, to have Arnold/Aishwarya body, to own a jaguar car, to fly in the microlight etc. Why do we have endless list of needs? It is simply because we are attuned to the five external senses and that is the way we experience the world around. Since, we have developed to the great levels of our external senses, we naturally get attracted to what we touch, feel, see, taste and hear.
There is nothing wrong in having endless list of needs and wants. But, unfortunately for many of us the needs are not met and fulfilled. The needs stay as everlasting needs throughout life & are not achieved in lifetime. Life is all about abundance and one needs to enjoy that abundance that life throws at him. For this one needs to understand the ways and means to tap this abundance of life.
Attuning to the Internal World:
The internal world within us is as big and diversified as that of the external world. One can develop a sixth sense of connecting to the internal world, our feelings, emotions, mind and bodily sensations at the subtlest level. We are all connected to the above but only at the gross level. But, if we learn to centre to the core of the existence then we can tap the power within. This is a journey to the internal world .Practice of yoga sets the path to take up this internal journey to tap the power within.
Powerhouse: The infinite power is uniformly given to every single human in this world. It is up to the individual to find out the path to reach there. This is a pure source of energy that acts as a guiding light in life. In fact, all that good things that have happened in your life are due to this single source of power. Knowingly or unknowingly, each one of us tapped into this power momentarily when we experienced goodness in life.

Witness the conditioned system: Yogic techniques are clearly defined to set this path to access the infinite power within. From the point of reference from this power, one gets the ability to watch the pattern of the conditioned mind. It is one of the big advantages of accessing this internal power. Each one of us acts and behaves in certain peculiar way due to the conditioned mind. In most cases, this conditioned mind sets the limit on exploring the new things in life.
Reprogram the conditioned mind: So, for the needs and wants to become the reality, it is important to shatter the limits set by the conditioned mind. Conditioned mind works in certain specific way. So, we get those very specific results that we have been getting all these days. To get the new results, we need to act and work in a different way and hence a way to reprogram the conditioned mind.
Practice of yoga not only provides an opportunity to witness this conditioned mind pattern but also allows us to change the pattern. Because, once you are aware of the pattern then it is easy to manage the pattern. Otherwise, it is difficult to manage without this awareness that you have gained by yoga.

The change in the pattern in the internal world sets a new reality in the life. So, life is abundance and it is our right to enjoy this abundance. All, one needs to do is to develop a way to access the power within to reconfigure his limited conditioned mind. Harness the power and liberate!!.

Personal Transformation initial confrontation

Personal transformation is a conscious process of changing ourselves to our higher self. There is a healthier meaning and purpose to our life when we upgrade ourselves to the greater good. Transformation is a change process. By default, with the time .we undergo change physically, mentally & emotionally. My present physical, mental & emotional states are different than what they were few years before.
Two opposite forces: Firstly, change is an automatic process and it acts as a force upon us. This force can have the positive or negative influences. Personal transformation is also a change but produced by our wilful conscious action. This is a different type of force which is wilfully generated to upgrade to our higher identity.
The initial resistance is minimal when both the forces work in association with each other. The early struggle becomes greater when the forces are not in alignment. Unfortunately, most of us fall in the latter category & we have a struggle for the personal transformation to realize in our reality.
Automatic Force: This force is nothing but your old habits & present behavioural pattern. This is the sum average of our past experiences. This force is really strong as this has been originated, developed and established for many years.  The stories & excuses that come in our mind (which do not allow the personal transformation procedures) are the acts of this automatic force. The strength of our personal transformation force is not as strong as this automatic force. Hence, we have the initial setback.

Overcoming the initial glitches:  In order to overcome the initial glitches, I would like to highlight three important points based on my own personal transformation experience.
1.       See the micro results while moving towards the goals
2.       Value the procedures and practices
3.       Owning & Knowing: The experiential knowledge.

1.       Micro Results: During the initial period, we have the usual tendency to look for the big results. Say for example that you do daily an hour of workouts to lose weight then obviously you develop an expectation to lose, one kg of weight after a week practice. Instead, it is better to look for the small micro developments such as feel towards your body, your energy level during/after workouts etc. and register all those developments in a note book. When you look back the records after a month, you’ll definitely see monumental changes.
2.       Values: It is better to value the procedures and practices wholeheartedly. Do not doubt the procedures and practices. A negative wavelength is created when one doubts the procedures. Remember the saying, “The value has value when its value is valued”.

3.       Experiential knowledge:  Most of us know the procedures and practices to become good. But, this is just an intellectual knowledge. It becomes our experiential knowledge when we experience the procedures and practices. We now OWN the skill that we KNOW. So the difference between Owning and Knowing is similar to the difference of the experiential and intellectual knowledge. So, pay attention to your experiences/feelings.

Engagement Model: Go with the Right Mindset

When we practice yoga, the result varies from person to person. Some of us get good result; some of us get “not so good” result and some simply give up after few days of practice. Here are the guidelines for the novices who want to engage with the practice of yoga and get the result that they really deserve. These guidelines primarily set the right kind of mindset as one enters into the world of yoga.
Commitment: First, get yourself committed. This is the fuel that needs to be ignited which acts as a guiding light as we take up the unknown journey. There is a BIG difference between “commitment “and “Interest”. There is a vast difference when I say
I am interested in becoming healthy &
I am committed to become healthy.
There is a nice saying, “committed people always do the things and achieve the result whereas interested people always watch the committed people getting the result”. Interest is doing on convenience where us commitment is doing things without constructing stories and excuses.
So, the first guideline is to stay 100% committed. Here in yoga, you are not only training the body but also mind & emotions. There is a learning period which takes considerable time but provides a definitive shift in you.

Priorities:  Regularity is the key fundamental element for the success. Why we need regularity in the practice? Body has its own intelligence and it can understand clearly our intention when we do things in a repetitive way. But, generally during the course of our progress, we may come up with certain excuses or some sort of stories just to break the regularity. It is an undesirable path where we compromise the high priority that was set in earlier.
It is important NOT to give excuses or create stories that disrupt the regularity and it essential to train the body appropriately.
Faith: Each one of us operates and takes actions based on his/her own faith & belief structure. Yes, our daily actions in life are based on our faiths. Now, when we start to learn yoga, it is important to have faith on the person who imparts the knowledge, faith on the practice and faith on yoga itself. Do not compromise on any of these and blindly follow until to a point where you start to experience the changes by yourself.
So, trust the person who imparts the knowledge, the practices & Yoga.
Value: You are not only trusting but you completely value the things that are given to you. There is a saying & it goes as, “Value has value when its value is valued”. It is simply translated as, “if I really value yoga and its practices then I get the true value from yoga and the practices.” The intensity of the “return energy” , the energy that comes from other side depends on how much energy we create from our side.
So, simply VALUE yoga, the person who imparts the knowledge and the practices.

Sustainability:  The initial enthusiasm at the beginning slowly dies off as we progress. This is mainly because of many surprises such as pains/aches, not getting the expected results etc.
The fundamental key point to ensure sustainability is not to over/under do the practices. Just, identify the boundaries of the comfort and discomfort zone and try to stay at the boundary of the comfort zone and never jump straight away to the discomfort zone. For this, you need to develop the art of listening to the body, especially to the subtlest signals.
Knowing & Owning: The idea here is not to KNOW but to OWN the things. Knowing is an intellectual knowledge whereas owning is an experiential knowledge. Intellectual knowledge does not give the experience. The one which we do not experience fades away from our memory. Unless, we subject ourselves to the “experiences”, we cannot OWN.
So, pay attention to your experience/feelings. We are here to OWN this skill and keep it forever and lifelong.

Energy for productivity: Each one of us has infinite power. Yoga provides an opportunity to tap this infinite power within. Generally, when there is no clear direction and purpose in life, we tend to have worries, fear and doubts. We waste this energy in solving our worries, fear & doubts. With the inner clarity that one gets by the practice of yoga, one no longer divert energy in solving mundane issues but using the energy for the REAL constructive purpose setting up the life in the positive direction.

Value and the role of the mind

Recently I received a whatsapp forwarded message. The message was a 30 second short speech from the Coco Cola former CEO. Here is the message.
“Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air.  They are Work, Family, Health, friends and Spirit and you’re keeping all of these in the air.
You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball.  If you drop it, it will bounce back.  But the other four Balls – Family, Health, Friends and Spirit – are made of glass.  If you drop one of these they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered.  They will never be the same.  You must understand that and strive for it.
Work efficiently during office hours and leave on time.  Give the required time to your family, friends & have proper rest.”
The message ended with the statement “Value has a value only if its value is valued”

Profound statement: The last ending line is such a profound statement. The value is applicable only when one values the value. This is true for anything that we do in life. We get the benefit of the food when we really value the food that we consume. Our relationships with the people get enhanced only when we really value the association with the people. Our health improves only when we start to value our wellbeing.
Mind & Value Mind originates the thoughts and our thoughts have a distinctive pattern. Our thoughts are always centred by our interest and priorities. Yes!! Just observe your thoughts that occur at this moment and you will see the thought patterns revolve with your own interest and priorities. Our interest could be anything such as life goals, ambition etc. Our interests give raise to negative emotions such as fear and worries or positive emotions such as joy and happiness.
So, when one values an action or thing, it implies that he makes a very conscious effort to develop interest or setting up priority for the action or the thing. If we value the food that we consume then it is a conscious effort to appreciate our association with the food. Naturally, we get the benefits of the food that we have consumed. On the other hand, if we think of something or involved in some other actions such as watching a TV while eating the food then our association with the food is detached and the return value that we get from the food will become insignificant.
Present state Awareness: The present state and the direction of our life is setup by the present state of awareness. A deliberate attempt to value things such as our life goals, food, health, body etc direct our awareness to work towards our growth. The deliberate effort in setting up importance and priorities in life aids in making using of the mind and the associated thought process to work in our favour.

Such a small shift in the way we value the things in life makes such a tremendous change in the way how our minds work that alter the present state of awareness. So, the question is that what you value now in your life? Make a conscious effort to value the thing to get the real value from it. That is the real return energy from the energy that we have shaped it by valuing the things.

Young voice of Wisdom:

We live in a world where we are influenced by others as well we influence others. There is another deeper, closer and smaller world for each one of us which we call it as “Family”. This world is much different than the external world. The family relationships are much stronger and the influence on one another in the family is also intense. Here, we have special bonding, love and affection between family members.
Parent Choices and the freedom of the Children: As parent, we want to give the best for our children. Best education, dresses, morals and values. In the process of offering the best, we compromise the thing which we thought is right for our children. What we think is right at this moment was wrong sometimes in our past and in the same way, what we think is wrong now was absolutely right earlier. Such is the dynamism of our choice. Our discrimination of right or wrong comes from our own experience. When we provide the right choice for the children, it is not the true choice that we are offering to them but it is that our experience that is forced on to them. In a way, we are forcing our experience onto the children which prohibits them from having their own very experience in its genuine state of freshness. The children freedom is lost when we make the decision what is best for them.
So, it is important to give the freedom and it should be kept in mind when we take certain choices in the life of the children.

Moral and value for the children: As a parent, do we need to teach the moral and value for the children? Say for example, we want to develop the value of getting up from the bed early morning to our children. One way of doing this to teach them all the benefits of early morning rising. Another method is simply for us to lead in the front the life that we want to teach. The first method will not be effective as the children learn and pick up the habits from the parent subconsciously. Such is the power of the subconscious programming. What you try to teach will not be followed by the children but they follow the one that you really do in your own life.
So, the best way to pass on the values and morals to the children is to simply lead the life that we want our children to have. Take out from your equation the question of teaching/preaching to the children.
Personally, I developed the habit of practicing yoga early morning daily and I thoroughly enjoyed the benefit of yoga. In that process, I did some reverse engineering of my old habits. One such habit is the way how I value the food that I eat. My daughters do not know ABC of yoga. I never talked to them in our personal time about Yoga. But, I noticed my daughter picked up subconsciously the value system of the food and it helped in her physical transformation from a chubby girl to a slim and sleek girl. Such is the effect of us leading in the front instead of preaching/teaching.
Me, Mine and Others: Some of us pay too much attention in the welfare of their children. They pour their entire energy for the family. They don’t even consider their own growth. This is a situation of overkill. To strike a balance, one needs to spend energy equally for his own growth, for his family development and for the benefit of the society. At the later stage of our life, it is our growth and our skills that will be of help to us as well as others.
So, strike a balance the way how you distribute your energy in all the three primary areas: Your personal growth, family and the society.

Once when we offer the true freedom to the children, pass on the values simply by leading the life in the front and equally spending your energy in all the primary areas, it is guaranteed that you listen your wisdom through the young voice of your children.

A Modest Mind shift to ease the enormous STRESS

We are solely accountable and responsible for the actions that we do in our life on a daily basis. There is no argument to this. When we cross the set limit and become over responsible and over accountable then the problem starts. You know what I am talking about? You live and take some heavy actions as if the entire world is operating just because of you. You operate as if nothing moves forward in this world without your presence.
Examples: One can see the above pattern especially when it comes to jobs, kids’ education, our own health and also the welfare of the children. When it comes to work, some of us take up the job and proceed as if he only can do the job in perfection as he believes in his own ability. He is worried to delegate the work to others because of the fear of the end result when it is executed by someone else. Similarly, parents overprotect the children when it comes to their welfare and literally lead the kid life in a direction that the parent’s desire and in that process they shadow the individuality and the freedom of the kid. When it comes to the health of the individual, again we use all the possible means to reach the ideal perfect health state but in the end we lead a miserable unhealthy state because we miss the simple art of listening to the body.
Fact 1: All these over accountability and over responsibility are simple acts of delusion.  The thought that leads you to cross the boundary is just there ONLY in your mind. It is valid only for you but NOT for others. You have created a world that exists just in your mind and it doesn’t exist anywhere else.
Fact 2: The plain fact in reality is that all things in life will be carried on and executed beautifully even without your presence. Even without you, the kid’s welfare will be taken care by default. In your work, even if you go on a month holiday and then after a month, you will be surprised to know that the work was done seamlessly even without your presence.
Fact 3: The greater fact is that the world was functional before you came here. It is functional as you live now. World will be FINE after you leave this place also. The simple thing, all that we need to do during your stay here in this short interval is to ask a  simple question,” what is the value that I can add up that transforms the life’s of others?”
Overstepping: How does one know that he has crossed his boundary? All that one needs to know is to see whether his action/inaction is causing the unnecessary worries, fears, doubts and anxieties. If you see any of the above symptoms then simply you know that you are crossing your limit. Don’t become over accountable and over responsible.  In fact, this is the main cause of the most of lifestyle diseases such as back pain, diabetes, migraine, etc.

One can drop tonnes of weight from his shoulder if one comes in terms with the above mentioned facts and that alone provides the right mind shift in him to blow out that unnecessary stress. Let us not the play the role of Hercules who carries the entire weight on his shoulder.
No Tension Formula:
Intention + Action = No Tension

Have a clear INTENTION in life and take the right ACTION keeping in my mind the positive outcome without any doubt then there is no tension in life.

SECRETS to RETAIN & MUTIPLY your Perfect WELLNESS state

Setting a Health & Fitness goal and achieving our desired goal is one part of the story. But, to retain the health in the same good state is another part of the story. On many real life cases, those who achieved the good health and fitness level fall back again to that imperfect health state from where they originally started from. Weight management is one such case where many of us use certain methods to achieve the perfect fitness level but in a matter of a year fairly a substantial set of those achievers fall back to the undesired fitness level again. This not only demotivates us but has a nasty effect on our emotional wellbeing. But, on a positive note, there are some who not only set& achieve health goal but also have the ability to maintain the desired state. This is really GOOD. To add to this, there are some who not only maintain but they move on to reach the ultimate of their health & fitness level. This is really AWESOME. Want to know the SECRET of these AWESOME club members?
Constant flow:  Perfect health fitness level is a high energy state. The energy in this state is awe-inspiring. It has great influence in all other dimensions of our life such as wealth, money, relationship & spiritual growth. The first set of rule is to allow the energy to flow from you to others.  Let this good energy gets in through you and flows out of you seamlessly. All we need to do is to act as a MEDIUM for this energy to flow immaculately without any blockade.

It multiplies: As we stay in the constant flow mode, we act as a water spring. As one takes more of the water from the spring, the spring generates more of the fresh water. All we need to do is to give the wisdom to as many people as possible for our goodness to multiply.
Go Giver: We work on ME-MINE-OTHERS dimensions. Initially, we act as a GO GETTER to acquire the desired wisdom in the ME & MINE dimensions. “ME” is the dimension where we upgrade our skills & “MINE” is the dimension, we upgrade our environment where we spent our energy. Once when we cross this stage, it is important to act as a GO GIVER in passing on the acquired wisdoms to OTHERS. This completes the cycle. So, we have to be a GO GETTER as well as a GO GIVER.
Higher Penetration Level: We have to make it as our duty to talk about this wisdom the people to whom we meet and feel about the goodness & be gratified. The magical world opens up beautifully for us to stay there for ever. The penetration level is really deep with the simple act of the above said duty.
Energy Booster: We have our own great moments and sometimes even dull moments. In our dull moments, surprisingly with no logical explanation, the right source of positive energy from the external world hits us to take us back in the right track. This external energy is nothing but the positive energy that we threw out to the external world in our past. It is now coming back to us to put us back in the desired state.

Become a Transceiver: A transceiver is a transmitter and a receiver. Let us simply stay as a transmitter in passing on the wisdom to others and that is our duty. And, stay as a receiver when we need the energy from the external world to uplift us in our dull moments of our life. A beautiful human wellness network is formed when each one of us follow this simple pattern. So, here is my request for all my old clients who have achieved their perfect Health & Fitness level. Become a transmitter of the goodness that you acquired to at least TEN people to create a RIPPLE effect and form this powerful Human wellness NETWORK. This simple act of you not only retains your wisdom but it MULTIPLIES your wellness.

Monitor to manage you

In the fast paced life, we are bombarded with too many information, experiences and events in any given single day. At any given time, we are overwhelmed with too many tasks. This leads us to have a feel that we are scattered all over the places. To overcome such an issue, I practice a monitoring/centring exercise as part of my daily rituals.
ME Time: Set aside five minutes of our time in a day as your ME time. ME time is nothing but giving an appointment to yourself. It is centring practice that asks the two questions. What is happening in my life? What is happening within me? All the information, experiences and events of the day are stored in the body, mind and also as emotions. During this practice, it is our duty to throw away all those craps that do not serve us.

Disturbed state: One experiences a disturbed mental state only when he concentrates too much on one particular area of the life for too long and for too many days. This causes a mental blockage. The four major areas of life are Health& fitness, wealth, relationship & spiritual development. The best way of the practice is to divert the awareness equally to the experiences of all the major areas of life. Such is the simplicity of this practice and one doesn’t need to go a trained meditative state to become aware of the experiences in the four major areas.
This way, it allows a person to centre by introspection of the experiences in all the major areas of life each day for few minutes. This monitoring process provides a handle to manage the life in a better way.
Mimic the internal centring process: The entire systems inside of our body such as the digestive, blood circulatory systems maintain balance by working in close loop by monitoring the signals. For example, the blood sugar level is maintained constant in a stable state by means of the receptors in the pancreas & the management is done by the secretion of the insulin. This is an automatic subconsciously controlled loop. We simply need to mimic this mechanism consciously when it comes to life experiences.
Most of the health issues, relationship issues are due to the mismanagement of this centring process.as a result of it, life slips form the balanced state without our conscious knowledge.
Preset values: It is important to organise the mind with right set of good values defined by the universal laws. In such case where the values are predefined, by default the right monitoring, correction and management happen in a right way. We move with the positive energy.

As a part of the daily rituals, spending five minutes of your time in practicing this centring/monitoring exercise is analogous to the filling up of the gas to the car. By this practice, we drive and move forward in life with vigour.

Money contribution and growth

In general, our growth depends on our contributions to others as well as to the society. More the level of contribution, greater would be our growth. Contribution is like an energy that flows from a source to a target. Continuity is established when the energy moves subsequently from old target to next target and so on.
Form of energy: Our energy field is said to be at higher level when the total universal cosmic energy seamlessly flows through us without any sort of obstruction. Money is also one such form of Prana, the energy field which flows through us effortlessly. In yogic science, an unbalanced state is a state which prevails only when there is a blockage of Prana. This unbalanced state can also be defined as dis-eased state where the energy does not flow easily from one point to another point.
Instrument: Money is a kind of an instrument. It is like a hammer, an instrument which can be used either for constructive or destructive purpose. We can use the hammer to constructively build a wooden box. Also, we can use the same hammer also to destruct the box. It is just in our hand to decide the purpose. It aids in our growth when we use money as an instrument for the constructive purpose in the form of contribution.
Money contribution: We donate to orphanage, less privileged people and so on and as a good human, it is a great accomplishment to continue such service. The money that goes for the contribution should emanate out of our pure will and good intention. Our intention should not be forced by others. We tend to add marketing element of our contribution only when the intention is forced externally. When our perception on this contribution is viewed in the context of seamless flow of energy, we contribute out of uncontaminated will that happens innately within us.

Practical method: From my personal experience, I would like to share certain practices that I follow. Our money inflow comes from many different sources. Most of these sources are known and expected. But, there are some unexpected and unknown sources that sometimes come as surprises to us. These could happen in the form of some unexpected profits in our business, stocks or from some unexpected deals from the clients. Keep aside such unexpected revenues and these become a reserve and start point for the money to flow.
Once, we develop such a mind-set that there is a reserve for contribution that exists in us then surprisingly, multiple outflow paths open up for this reserve. These paths around us open up so automatically and there is no need for us to go and hunt for communities, charities or organisations for the outflow to happen.

Effectively, with the development of such a mind-set, we simply become a medium where the money, the form of energy, flows seamlessly through us. Thus, we contribute and hence we grow.

Experience a better life with daily two questions daily

Life is one complete learning experience. Learning experiences become limited when we do the same things in routine each day. To have wider variations of the life experiences, it is important to try new things and do the existing routine work differently. It is our mistake to expect the results to be different while we go on with the same things in life. We have to do things differently to get different results.
Resistance to change: The tendency of human is to show resistance to the changes. We take the shortest and least resistant path in life. Due to this characteristic, we eventually fall back to the normal routine of life even though we take up new challenges initially.
Way to go: There should be a motivational factor to try something differently. Our goals in life act as strong motivational factors. Whatever things we wish to try differently should be in alignment with our goals. Say for example, if our intention is to lose weight to become healthy then losing weight becomes our motivational factor to try some new physical exercises. Here, the new changes will become effective only when we develop the ability to capture the minute details of the developmental changes. Again, our tendency is to expect bigger and grosser results and when we fail to see the minute developmental changes, we tend to lose the interest and we fallback to our routine life. So, the key point here is to look for the small delta differences (minute developmental changes) for the new change to become effective.

Daily Two questions: Daily, make it as practice to ask the following two questions. A) What did I do differently in life today? B) What did I learn from today’s life experiences? The first question is related to our conscious effort whereas the second one is the effect of our conscious effort. This is similar to throwing a fishing net (our conscious effort) and our catch (different color fishes, different sizes etc) in the fishing net is the effect of our conscious effort which we can call as our life experiences.
Areas to focus: Once we decide to do things differently, it is important to focus in all the dimensions of life or at least, those areas where we have our weakness. In general, one can focus on health, fitness, material wealth, finances, relationships, skill development and spiritual development. Instead of focusing on all the different dimensions of the life, it is better to start with the areas where we have our weakness. If one asks the above two questions very specific to the areas where we have weakness then one notices a remarkable twist in those specific areas of life.

Journaling the points: When one practices, it is important to register in writing all the points related to the two questions: What did I do differently and what did I learn from today’s life experiences. Writing of the experiences triggers the higher center of the brain, the so-called thinking brain. This directs our awareness to certain explicit activities.

How to get the things that you need in life?

There are four major areas in life namely health, fitness, wealth, relationship and self development that need to be balanced. We have a fulfilling life when we live at our peak in all the major areas of our life. You may want to build a great healthy lifestyle. But, in spite of your genuine efforts, you may witness low progress in meeting the end result. This blog is written to provide you with a clear answer in achieving easily the result which you desire.
Strong Desire: Whatever your intention may be. It might be to have a fitter body, to achieve a wealthier life or to have a better relationship. The intention when converted into a burning strong desire then easily the end result can be achieved. If the intention is just a part of our wish list then it stays inert at that level without significant progress. If someone shows us a path to achieve a wealthier life and if we simply wish to a have wealthier life then it is just an addition to our existing wish list and we won’t see progress in that area of life. Intention without a strong desire just means that we fancy the result of that intention but we don’t have true bond with it. When there is no bonding, there is a distance and there is no connectedness to our intention and to our inner self.

Difference between Love & Like: Love is different than our liking. Liking is similar to have a wishlist. It is just a wish & we fancy something. Whereas love is bonding our intention to our inner self. We love our intention when we care for it, give due respect to it and offer high value to it. If we respect our desires then the respect comes to us in multifold. This is a powerful law of nature. So, all we need to do is to respect our intentions if we would like to achieve the desired result.
Test with your own experience: Now, to test and validate the above two points, let us pick two areas of your life. One in which you have become happy and successful and the other in which you have experienced some failure. Say for example, you have bad heath but great relationships with family & friends. In this example, if you observe the area of relationships, you naturally would have exhibited a strong bonding, strong desire, great care, respect and high value to your relationships. You will also able to observe the exact opposite in the area of health. You will be experiencing a sense of disconnectedness, lack of bonding, lack of value and respect when it comes to health.

If you want to get the things that you need in life then it is important to first develop genuine respect and bonding to the things that you desire. Once this foundation is established then the rest is taken care by the law of nature to reach the desired outcome.

Want to achieve your goal? Align your Beliefs

You have goals in your life. You see your growth when the path of your travel is in perfect alignment to your goals. Sometimes, it is possible that the path of your journey is not in perfect alignment to your goals. The cause for this divergence is due to the core beliefs from which you experience your life.
First of all, understand that your thinking is based on your core beliefs. When an event occurs, different people experience and think in different ways. We think in certain way because of the beliefs we hold within. Not all our thoughts are good and so as our belief system also. Those beliefs which do not serve good and not allowing us to grow in reaching towards our goals need to be dropped out sensibly.
Our beliefs determine two things: Our emotions or the moods of the present moment & the actions that determine our future. For example,” I can’t do this work because I am not capable of doing this work’. The above statement is a case, where I am in a situation where I should do that work but I know that I definitely fail if I take up the task as I lack the competence to do it. This sets up a bad mood within me and since I know that I fail because of my capacity, I won’t take any action. Since I have not taken any action, I won’t develop further and hence my life remains the same.

Our beliefs have established a set of values within us. That is our value system. There is no such thing called right or wrong values. For example, we may have beliefs like
Work hard to earn more money. Here the value is ‘Hard work’.
Always be kind to others. The value is ‘Kindness’.
Don’t be lenient. People take advantage of me. The value is not to become lenient.
Which of the above values are correct? Hard work or kindness or ‘not to be lenient’? We cannot give a definitive answer. But, here is the magic formula.
Magic formula: If we establish our beliefs whose values are centered with the Laws/principles of Nature then we can have a better successful life and better control of our life experiences. Laws are just laws. Those laws of nature are fixed. For example, the law of gravity is fixed and we can’t change the law. All that one can do at his best is simply to align with the laws.
Here are some examples of values based on the laws of Nature.
1.       The returns come from an action are based on the level of our attachment to that action. This is based on the law of returns.
2.       Self power – Law of abundance
3.       Contribution to others – Law of returns
4.       Gratitude – Law of Harmony
5.       Change – Law of impermanence
6.       Organization – Law of order.

So, establish the beliefs whose values are in alignment with the laws/principles of nature which setup two things: your present moment moods and the actions which determine your future. I guarantee you that it is not just your path which is in alignment with your goals but you will also have a more enjoyable and successful life.

The four pillars of life

Our life is more meaningful and joyful when we strike a balance in major areas of our life. These major areas of our life are Health, Fitness, Material wealth, Finances, Personal Relationship: Spouse & family, Social Relationship: Friends /community/colleagues, Career/Profession, Relaxation /creativity and Spiritual development (purpose of life). We experience unbalance when we lack the progress in any one of these areas that gives rise to a sort of incompleteness in life.
Balance: For the purpose of our discussion, let us condense down those nine major areas into four as
Health
Wealth
Relationship &
Self Development
These four components serve as the four pillars of our life.
The quality of life depends on how nicely one balances these components. If growth of one component is slower or faster in comparison to the other components then that leads to a mismatch. For example, if one has enough wealth but disappointingly a poor health.

The Problem: By nature innately, we are designed to be in this balanced state. We move away from this balanced state when we are unaware of this reality. The speed at which we ride the life has given a hazy vision that masks the visibility of this balanced state. Since we lose the sight, we hunt to see a solution in the external world .In this process, we drift further away from this balanced state.
Way to go: All, we need to do is to become aware of this balanced state which exists deep inside us. For this, observe and become of aware of the subtle incidents in the four areas in our life. Once, when we start to observe these occurrences, we will be surprised to recognize that we are filled up in all these major areas in abundance. The more and more we observe & harness these subtle happenings, the more and more we get great quantity in return.
Practically, you can test the above aspect. You see the area where you are doing exemplarily well now. This is because that you are deeply connected in this area and emotionally attached to the experiences that are centered in this area. The same level of intensity of the connectedness may not be there in the area where you do not see the growth. For example, you are in a better health because you are connected within yourself at a deeper level when it comes to your health.

The Practice: There is no point having a faster life when the fastness is not allowing to move forward towards our life goals. It is like running fast without knowing the final destination. Ultimately, we end up nowhere. In fact, it is dangerous and we may lose the site of the balance. So, practice ‘ME’ time regularly where we spend time in bringing to our awareness the subtle happenings of the major areas of the life. The success of this practice lies in how subtly we capture these incidents. As one continues with this practice, soon he witnesses his life changes for good. Trust me, it works.

Know the tips to get rid of negative energy

Our body is a structure made of innumerable number of molecules. Yes, it is a massive molecular structure which has the ability to hold the energy. We are in a state of perfect health when the flow of energy inside our body is effortless and at ease. We are in harmony with the universal energy that can be called as nature. We are set to be in an unbalanced state when this energy flow is blocked. Positive energy locks to a rhythmic state and thereby we enjoy inner peace and harmony. A negative energy state blocks the flow of energy and disturbs this rhythm.
There are two ways by which a body can hold the negative energy. A self inflicted intrinsic negative state where one worries or fears for some reasons that cause stress to him. Stress is a natural process and it is considered healthy when it is short-lived. But, when the stress is extended for a prolonged duration of time then it causes chronic diseases in the body. There is another means by which a body holds the negative energy. This is an extrinsic negative state caused by the influence of others. This happens when one holds a grudge, is greedy, envious etc towards others. As these emotions do not serve us any good, we should know how to discharge these negative charges that stick to our body.

I would like to share with you some of the exercises which I have been practicing for years.
1.       Earthing exercise: As you know we are made up of and surrounded by pancha bootha, the five nature elements namely water, earth, fire, space and air. For example, our body is filled up with seventy percentage of water and the planet earth in which we live is surrounded by seventy percentage of water. Our ancestors were in constant contact with each and every element of these five natural elements that surrounded them. In the modern world, we are in constant contact with four of the natural elements. We breathe air, we are under the direct influence of sun (fire), we occupy space and we drink water. But, we are isolated from the earth. Obviously, we live on the earth and hence we are connected to the earth. But, are we in direct contact with the earth? Mostly, we either wear slippers or shoes inside the house as well as when we go out. Even when we are bare foot inside the house, we are obviously in contact with the floor but in direct contact with the natural form of the earth. It surprises us to know that we seldom are bare foot and in direct contact to the soil of the earth.
Recent researches have shown that the earth has the ability to absorb the negative charges that are stored in our body. When we are in direct contact with the earth, we can discharge the negative charges thereby reducing the stress. In USA and some of the European countries, there are earthing products available that ground our body to earth and thereby reduce our stress.
Gardening with our bare foot is the simplest and natural way to ground ourselves. Please consider taking up the gardener’s role if you have a garden at your house and engaged a gardener to water the plants. So, do gardening for at least fifteen minutes two or three times per week. BY doing so, you have an added advantage of enjoying the flowers and plants which make you feel relaxed.

2.       Art of forgiveness: As a human being, we have the reasoning ability and we know consciously not to have bitterness towards other. The problem is that we know this fact intellectually but not experientially. We sometime develop bitterness with others and in that process, strain the relationship with families and friends.  Forgiveness can be practiced and can be trained to be our innate nature. The brain can be trained and the mind can be altered to develop this habit permanently. Remember the human system is highly adaptable. Do you know why a blind person has high hearing ability? He has naturally trained his ears to become highly sensitive due to the defect of his eyes. Similarly, if we practice forgiveness for 21 days, it becomes our habit. Trust me, it works!! It is the greatest tonic to have a stress free life. The best way to practice this exercise is to sit in a relaxed state every day for 5 minutes and bring to your mind at least five experiences that happened in the last 24 hours which really hurt your feelings. Then bring to your mind, the person or group of people responsible for that bad incident. Then forgive them consciously by saying mentally, “I am forgiving you”. Also, you seek forgiveness from them too. Tell mentally, “Please forgive me in case, I have done any mistake knowingly or unknowingly”. This practice appears to be crazy and ridiculous but believe me, it is really powerful stuff.

Initial days of my practice, I had innumerable number of people to forgive. But with continuous practice, the number gradually reduced. Now, I am in a state of mind where I don’t have anyone to forgive and so I have started to forgive terrorists, politicians etcJ

3.       Art of giving away: As much as we give away that much returns back to us. This is the law of nature. If you throw a ball to the wall, the ball returns back to you with the same intensity with which you threw it. Similarly, the positive energy returns back to us and nullifies the accumulated negative charges. Contribution is one sure means to feel a COMPLETE LIFE.

BEING GOOD: Am I at the receiving end sometimes?

The idea of this topic came in one of my yoga sessions .First, let me extend my gratitude to the participant who asked the question.

“Do people take advantage of your situation when you are being good to others?”

Let me give some insight into this topic based on my experiences. First, let us understand,’ what does being good mean to us?’  It simply means that you are making another person or a group of people happy. This can be done by extending your resources to others so that they benefit from your resources. The resource could be your acquired skills, acquired material wealth, your time, extending your love to others or it could be any kind of resource where the receiving person lacks what is being offered to him.

Greater goodness happens when you are extending your resource to others, especially when it is in great demand by others. You feel complete and good about yourself. In this process, you are subjecting yourself to wider opportunities to grow further. This is like a natural water spring. More water is generated, when more the water is taken out from the spring. Also, it is similar to the generation of blood. More you give out your blood, more a new stream of blood flows into your body. For example, my knowledge on Yoga improved greatly once I started disseminating this knowledge to others.

When do we feel that someone is taking advantage of you for being good? In general, we feel good when you extend your resource to the others for the first few occasions. If the same person keeps coming back to you for the same kind of help then we may get a feeling that he is taking advantage of the situation. In this case, the energy is STUCK and there is no FLOW. Let me explain this with the example of multiple streams of water in the river.

It is quite natural that the river branches into multiple streams, where water takes the easier path to flow- steady and easy. In this process, it branches into multiple streams covering wider areas. This is the reason that the running water is far superior to the still water, just because of the flow. Don’t you think that the health benefit of Cauvery water is far superior than the RO filtered ground water?

So, be assured that if our resources should be distributed in such a way, they would also get multiplied as they pass through different people. Show them the path and enlighten them with the knowledge of how to develop the skills for acquiring the resources that they lack. This resource exchange may also be bidirectional from both parties. This is a FLOW and it is good.

If you feel that the flow is not happening and is stagnant due to others then one needs to become tough with others. Lord Rama physic was normally defined to be as soft as flower but when in needed to break a bow, he became tougher and harder as a diamond in that given situation. But caution! When you make a tough call, you need to be completely clear & balanced and abide by your actions based on the law of nature. By following this, I can assure you that you won’t feel bad about your decision ,even though you made a tough call!

Having said that, the greatest wisdom that we should remind ourselves of is that each and every one of us is innately GOOD by nature. This is our original nature & our true state of being. If you feel that you are apprehensive in any given situation and not feeling good about yourself, then become TOUGHER with YOURSELF and go back to your original state of ‘BEING GOOD’.

Stay in the STATE OF FLOW!!

Are you living with your ideals governed by external forces?

All along in our life, we are constantly conditioning our mind with the values governed by the external means from the society, family & friends. Initially, at our younger age as a child, we didn’t have our own set of core values defined and so we started to adopt the values set from the external world. We were taught that those values by default were good values such as, going to good school, getting good grades, excelling ourselves in the academics & getting into  good employment, becoming comfortable with the living means and so on.

As we grow older, going through the different phases of the life as a child, teenage & as a grown up adult, every one of us has come to a stage where if not all, at least some of the values are not working well for us.
This has happened to me at one point of my life. After having all the luxuries of good family, great kids, higher education, good title in the company & many of the financial wealth, I expected a joyful and happier life .But, there was always a sense of incompleteness & I was not clear enough at that time to understand what was that which had become incomplete in me?

As I started experiencing the life, there was a stage where I had some serious illness which had given me an opportunity to slow down & review my life. As I realized the externally forced values had not given me the kind of life what I expected it to deliver & I reprogrammed my mind to pick up the values whatever deemed to be good based on my level of awareness and built up new core values which I thought would bridge the gap between my real life to my ideal life. Fortunately, it worked GREAT!! It not only cleared my health condition in more holistic way, but led me to perceive my life differently but in a good way.

This new perceived thinking created a greater space in my mind. This became the starting point of so called MY FREE MIND. With the free mind, new ideas started to surface out beautifully to me. Sometime, the ideas in a day were so overwhelming that I needed some way to capture and write down all those ideas as a journal. New ideas lead me to new way of thinking which lead me again to new actions. The world around me started to manifest in a different way, but in a very good way.

The above processes are still continuing in me on day today basis.  All, I can say for now is that life is more beautiful .I am leading the life with clear focused goals with higher ideals and thoughts.

So, to put my learning’s in simple terms.
Build  strong core values à Great Health à Free Mind à Great Actions à Perfect world
In other words, when Health is not good in you, one can’t manifest a perfect world around you. This is a big idea & really a very strong statement.

So, here is my question to you. How your core values are defined within you? These values become the fundamentals in defining your belief system. Based on your belief system follows your thinking & action. This gives raise to the world that you create around you. If you see and feel the world around you is not an ideal one then please work on your core values and fundamentals. Throw away the values that do not serve you better even though those are imposed on you by the external force. Go by your intuition, build strong fundamentals, greater belief system that work for you and create a space in your mind. Let positive thought, action surface out from this free mind & provide a life that you love to live.

So, start to act on building your strong core values NOW & TODAY!! Build great Health & free mind that give raise to the manifestation of perfect world around you.
